Summary:
The idea of joining a gang? Avalone could never have imagined it.
Finding a family in the midst of all this violence? Even less so.
And yet…
If I thought I’d spend my first year of university in an ordinary way, concentrating on my studies and surrounded by two or three friends, nothing could have prepared me for the turn my life would take.
I should have realized that having a best friend whose brother is in the Devil’s Sons was going to be trouble. But the last thing I expected was to find myself involved in the activities of a Michigan pagan gang. Much less forge a friendship with these bad boys with guns. And certainly not to be attracted to Clarke Taylor, the most out-of-control and dangerous of these boys…
Now I’m trapped, and I have only one option: to help them.
Against my will…
My opinion:
I have only one word to say… WAHOU.
I’ve heard a lot about this book, I’ve seen a lot of edits on social networks about devil’s sons and especially about Clarke Taylor. But if I was expecting this!
I finished this book in 5 days. Whenever I had a free moment, I read. It was like a drug.
Avalone’s story is so touching, and she has such a funny way with boys. She doesn’t let herself be pushed around, and that’s what makes her even more endearing. We identify with her character.
And then, as the story progresses, we get to know the boys in the gang, and they too become very endearing and start to become part of your family…
You can feel the tension between Avalone and Clarke and it’s really great. It keeps us on the edge of our seats, and we always want to know what happens next.
As soon as the book ended, I immediately wanted to know what happened next, and I rushed off to Volume 2.
In summary:
If you’re hesitating or in a phase where you just can’t get back into reading, go ahead and read this book!
It will reconcile you with reading and you’ll see that you’ll devour it!
TW: Even so, the book is intended for a well-informed public and contains some violence.
NOTE: 10/10
“No one will ever kiss you like I do, Avalone”
