Un printemps pour te succomber – Morgane Moncomble

Summary:

A broke florist, Nolia turns to her last hope of getting by: her family. Little did she know, however, that the price she’d have to pay for her help would be marriage. To her ex.
Faced with adversity, unable to return to her toxic past, she decides to ally herself with a stranger in the biggest lie of her life.
The lucky man is Camille Levesque.
Founder of an escorting app.
Her fake fiancé.
A billionaire with a reputation as a playboy, Cam regularly graces the front pages of the tabloids. To the point of tarnishing his company’s reputation and risking losing everything.
To restore his reputation, he needs to show himself to be a man ready to commit.
The rare pearl for this is her: Magnolia Kumar.
Single mother and feminist.
Who agrees to become his future wife, at least on the surface.
If they promise never to fall in love, the red thread of destiny could end up catching up with them…

My opinion:

I had been told that this tome was the best of the 4… well everyone was right! It’s AMAZING!
The fake dating, the developing romance between Nola and Camille, and the toxic ex, all come together in a successful novel.
Nolia is in debt and has asked her parents, whom she hasn’t seen since her daughter was born (1 1/2 years). But she didn’t expect them to ask her to marry if she wanted the money.
When she first meets Camille on the rooftop, the misunderstanding between the two is laugh-out-loud funny! He mistakes her for his date and the girl he’s supposed to be getting married to, and she mistakes him for his business date, his client who’s supposed to be getting married.
When they agree to plan this fake wedding, move in together and the romance starts to develop between them, it’s great.
Camille’s insights, explaining the feelings he gets from seeing Nolia and having her by his side are so cute!!!!
On the other hand, his ex, Enzo, is really super toxic. I can’t stand him! He’s really obnoxious.
AND THE END (spoiler alert)
When I learned that the man Nolia was originally supposed to marry was Camille, that he was the one who caught up with her on the street, that he was the one she chatted with at Enzo’s colleague’s party, and that he was the one who spoke to her at the hospital when her daughter was born, I was completely shocked!!!
In the end, the story of the red thread Camille told Nolia is exactly their story… It was destiny!

In summary:

Even if you haven’t read the other volumes, you can still read this one.
Un printemps pour te succomber is a real favorite. Don’t miss Nolia and Camille’s story!

NOTE: 10/10

“Maybe we’re not right for each other. Life has made her cynical and I’m not emotionally available enough.
I’m everything she hates, she’s everything I aspire to.
Together, we’re dangerous.
Nolia is afraid of having her heart broken, while I’m terrified of having mine stolen.”
