Summary:

My opinion:
What’s great about this book is that even if you don’t know anything about poker, there’s an index with all the combinations explained. I came back to it quite a few times during my reading and it was a great help!
So if you’re looking for a captivating and surprising read, this is it!
Rose is an atypical woman, with a character all her own, who knows what she wants, while retaining a bit of mystery.
The same goes for Levi. He’s a very interesting character. You can tell right away that he has wounds that he tries to hide behind his arrogance, like a suit of armor.
The relationship between Rose and Levi is complicated at first, but Rose’s strong character soon makes it fun.
In summary:
Morgane Moncomble completely immerses us in her world. I knew nothing about poker and suddenly wanted to understand everything so I could play a game with Rose and Levi. The twists and secrets in this novel keep us on the edge of our seats.
Throughout, we’re happy, stressed, waiting, angry. It’s a delight.
